Dog-Pet-Sitting-Walking-North-Dallas offers New Year’s Resolutions for you and your pet.
Now that we are mid-way through January, we have probably contemplated and started (hopefully not ) our New Year’s Resolutions, but what about resolutions for your pet?
Here are some great ones to get you started:
1. Play More. Pets live in the moment. They don’t think about yesterday and they worry about or plan the future. Taking a break from your computer or other work to throw a ball for you dog allows you to live in the moment too.
2. Exercise More. It is quite likely that you made a resolution to do something to improve your health. What better way than to exercise with your dog? A daily walk provides not only great exercise for both of you, but also a special bonding time for the two of you.
3. Eat Healthier. This applies to your dog and you. Research quality dog foods. Read ingredients. Dog food should ALWAYS start with actual meat: chicken, beef, lamb etc. Some of the most popular foods are not necessarily the most nutritious. Also remember to limit treats for you and your dog. And, please no people food! There is no reason to have an overweight dog since he only eats what you give him (unless he’s a Lab – ha!)
4. Learn a New Skill. Teaching your dog a new trick is a great way to spend time together and keeps your dog alert and engaged.
